Be Aggressive!

Are you Interested or Committed?
Do you wish to be wealthy?
Or do you commit to be wealthy?

I hope you commit to be wealthy. Because there's a vast difference between someone who says I wish to be wealthy and I commit to be wealthy! Can you say to yourself now that "I commit to be wealthy!"?

Be aggressive and tell to the world now that  you are committed to be wealthy! Because I never yet met a successful person who's not aggressive to be wealthy! 


Be aggressive! I'm not talking about aggressive personality or aggressive temperament. This does not mean being mean, being pushy, being rude, or being violent. That's not it! 

I'm talking about being aggressive about getting the dreams and the goals that we have in our heart! About those dreams and the goals that God placed in our heart. Be aggressive! Be decisive!

Let me share you these verses in the bible:

"If you are unable to make up your mind and are undecided in all you do, you must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord." - James 1:7:8

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." - John 14:12

"Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth." - Proverbs 10:4

"One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys." - Proverbs 18:9

Brother Bo Sanchez once told a story on one of his Kerygma's seminar that he met a foreigner who's earning 2 million each month. Visited the Philippines, go to see diffirent islands in the Philippines and said: 

"Brother Bo, I have never met a more polite, more courteous people than the Filipino. But I have met so many poor people in the country. And I think one reason why you are poor - why many of you are poor is because your strengths have become your weaknesses. You are polite,  you are courteous. People can work with you well, you can work with anybody around the world. But you are NOT aggressive."

Again, this aggressive does not mean being pushy, being rude, or being violent. That's not it! I'm talking about being aggressive about getting the dreams and the goals that we have in our heart!

Alam mo ba na may limang  bagay o kaugalian sa ating kultura na pinipigil o ninanakaw ang ating pagiging agrisibo? Eto yon:

 5 Cultures Weaknesses Robbing Our Aggressiveness

•  Haciendero Complex
•  Bahala Na! Attitude
•  Lotto Mindset
•  Mañana Habit
•  Crab Mentality

1. Haciendero Complex: 
For centuries ang heciendero ay yong taong nagmamay-ari ng malaking malaking lupaing sakahin. Lahat ng mga tenants (trabahador o taohan) nya, kasama ang mga anak ay sa lupain nya nakatira. For centuries ang kalakaran na tumatakbo dito ay dependent o umaasa ang mga tenants na ito sa kanilang amo o sa haciendero. Kapag kelangan ng bahay, trabaho, pagkain, pampagamot, pampaaral ng kanilang mga anak - sa haciendero sila lalapit.

Ang masama nito, dahil dependent sila sa kanilang amo or sa haciendero, yong mga tenants na ito hindi na masyadong nagiisip para sa kanilang future, kasi parang nakasandal sila sa pader. At ang nangyayari, nawawala yong kanilang pagiging aggresive tungkol sa kanilang mga goals ng kanilang buhay.

Tayo, sa panahon ngayon, wala na tayo sa hacienda, pero hanggang ngayon feeling natin, naghahanap tayo ng haciendero. You know why? Dahil ang tingin natin sa mga namumuno satin o sa presidente nalang ng Pilipinas, ay isang malaking haciendero. Tingnan mo, kapag nahihirapan tayo, may problema sa ating buhay, o usaping pangangailangan - ang karaniwan mong makikinig sa tao ay "kasi 'yong Presidente walang ginagawa. Kurakot kasi ang mga namumuno." Nakuha mo?

Ang una nating kailangang ayosin sa ating kultura ay itong Haciendero complex. We should not be dependent on someone or something for our entire life. 

2. Bahala Na! Attitude: 
Kung gusto mong maging mayaman, you commit to be rich! 
If you want to have a good family, you commit to have a good family!
If you want to be holly, you commit to holliness!
Hindi yong "Ay bahala na!" Ito yong mga halimbawa:

Kung may kotse ka at kelangan ng palitan ng baterya - "Bahala na, pwede namang itulak para magStart."
Kapag kelangan magpaCheck up sa Doktor - "Bahala na, okey pa naman yong pakiramdam."
Kung kelangan mong iRenew yong insurance mo - "Bahala na, wala namang masamang nanyayari."

Ayon kay Bo Sanchez, ang "Bahala na" ay nagmula sa salitang "Bathala na" o ipagpasaDyos o ipinasaDyos na.

Marahil pwede itong iakma kung yong mga bagay na talagang kelangan na nating ipagpasaDyos kasi wala tayong magagawa. Ngunit maraming bagay dito ang kaya naman nating gawan ng paraan pero ipinagpapasaDyos parin natin! Diba, bakit bahala na? 

Bakit kaya hindi nalang "Ako na ang bahala!" Kapag sinabi mong "ako na ang bahala", it means I'm taking the responsibility, I will take care of it! Come on, say it to yourself: "Ako na ang bahala!" 

Diba ang sarap isagot nito kung tanongin ka ng would you be wealthy? Would you have a happy family? Will you be healthy in your body?

3. Lotto mindset:

Kapag nagtanong ka sa isang dukha kung gusto nyang yumaman? Paano? Ito sasagot nya, "Syempre naman, kung makatama sa Lotto. Baka makatyamba o palarin sa Wowowee(gameshow)."

Diba nakakalungkot makinig ito? Na isang dukha, the only hope and salvation is winning the lotto, wowowee, eat bulaga. Don't depend or relay your future on luck! Do something to achieve it.

4. Mañana Habit:

Mamaya na o bukas nalang. In english "procrastination". Pagpapabukas o pagpapaliban. 

Familiar ka ba sa mga sinasabi ng mga kaibigan mo na, I will quit smoking starting tomorrow, I will stop "procrastination" starting tomorrow, magda-diet na ako pamula bukas. Ginawa ba nila? Why start tomorrow if you can start today!? You can't be like this if you want to be successful. Success should not be delayed, we should take action right here, right now!

5. Crab Mentality

Filipino are known for their crab mentality, admit it. Ito yong kapag merong kapit-bahay, kapag-anak, katrabaho, kabarkada, o kaibigan na napakaAggressive at nakaAngat sakanila, ang sasabihin ng iba sakanya, "Epal kasi, mapapel, sip-sip." We begin to criticize the person who has goals, who has dreams.

Let me tell you this, "if you will be envious and if you will not share in the joy of the success of other people, success will go away from you." Kung hindi ka magiging masaya sa kung ano ang nakamit o narating ng iba, hindi mo makakamit ang tagumpay na yon. 

Maging masaya ka sa tagumpay ng iba at magiging masaya rin sila sa tagumpay mo. Tulongan mo ang iyong kapwa na makamit nya ang kanyang minimithi at ganun din ay tutulongan ka rin nya sa iyong minimithi.
