[FOCUS] To Become Aggressive Towards Your Goals

When you are clear about your dreams, you have to FOCUS on how to achieve those dreams...

2. The Law of Focus

You have to focus on one thing in your life. Because an aggressive person focus on one thing and usually it should be the core of your strength. Meron kang isang gift from God, that is the major gift that God has given you and you have to focus on that one thing - Your Core Gift!

Use your strength, not your weakness. Sabi nga ni Malcolm Forbes:

"Success follows doing what you want to do. There is no other way to be successful."

Friend, let me ask you: What is your core gift? And what are the things you want to do?


Sabi sa quote ni Malcolm, there is no other way to be successful unless you will do what you want to do. Ano nga ba gusto mong gawin? Medyo magulo? Nagulohan din ako eh. hehehe.. :-)

Anyways, those are our strengths and weaknesses. Those are not inborn or natural talent, I don't believe that. Ang pinaniniwalaan ko, nakukuha natin ang strengths and weaknesses natin along the way, on the process from our childhood until we have the power to decide on our own. Mostly, influenced by our parents, religion, from school, culture, at lahat ng nakasalamuha at nasaksihan natin.

There are things that we did from the past that we've discovered na kaya pala natin, madali nating napagdedesisyonan, at madali nating nagagawa. And those are the situation or the things that we considered our strengths. 

While there are things naman na hindi pa natin kayang gawin because of our doubts. Nagawa natin pero nahirapan tayong gawin along the process. And mostly yong mga situation o bagay na hindi tayo nag-succeed. These are what we considered our weaknesses. 

Strengths and weaknesses are balance. Meaning, your strengths can sometimes be your weaknesses on some situation, as well as your weaknesses can sometimes be use to become your strengths on some situation.

But anyway, those are all blessings of God to us. Whatever it is, the topic is FOCUS! 

You should focus on your core gift - use your strength, not your weaknesses. And you should Discover Your Core Gift! The more you know your gift, the more successful you become. The less you know what your core gift is, the less successful you will be. Find your core gift, use it and you will bless the world.

"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."- 1 Peter 4:10

Paano mo naman malalaman ang Core Gift mo? 

Una, magbalik tanaw ka sa mga pagsubok na naranasan mo sa buhay at mga biyayang nakamit mo. Where has God been blessing you in the past? You simply have to follow the trail of blessings in your life.

Let me ask you this question: What have you done in your life that has had the greatest impact on people's lives?

Karamihan sa atin ay hindi umuunlad o nagtatagumpay dahil hindi natin alam yong Core Gift natin. Pero meron paring hindi umuunlad kahit alam nila yong strengths or Core Gift nila, yon ay dahil hindi naman nila ginagamit.
- Be faithful to your core gift and you'll be successful.

Pangalawa, sundin mo yong silakbo ng damdamin mo! Follow your passion! In other words, do what you love to do.

The happiest people are those who have discovered their passion - and work within the circle of their passion.

At pangatlo, let's get back where you can earn - match your core gift to your market.

It's not enough to know your core gift. You need to know how your core gift can meet a felt need in your target market. In offering or creating a product, you still have to check what your customers want or need. In other words, your product or service must be market driven.

Halimbawa, kung magaling kang sumulat - wag kang magaApply ng trabaho na kung saan ang kelangan nila ay magaling gumuhit or magdrawing. 

   Sabihin naman natin sa MLM or networking - wag mong iOffer na magbenta o kumausap ng tao yong sobrang mahiyaing tao. Kung pwede mo naman syang bentahan nalang nong produkto nong company mo. O 'di kaya, isama mo nalang sya sa ibang investment scheme na alam mo. Yong kumikita ng walang ginagawa, just taking a calculated risk - parang profit sharing or stock holder.

Now, once you've discovered your core gift. You still need to Develop Your Core Gift.

The best way to develop it is to use it. Again and again and again.

The second best way to develop your core gift is to get trained. Make your strength even stronger - because that's your special gift to the world.

Don't stop learning, studying, attending seminars and talking with the successful people who have the similar dream you have. Develop your craft!

Author Richard Koch says, "Everyone can achieve something significant. The key is not effort, but finding the right thing to achieve. You are hugely more productive at some things than at others, but you dilute the effectiveness of this by doing too many things where your comparative skill is nowhere as great."

Again, you have to focus on your core gift. You need to keep on growing so you could help others keep growing, too.

At ngayon naman, ano naman gagawin natin sa Weaknesses? Same thing, you have to develop it in a good way. Or delegate it to others. Alam mo yong kasabihang, "Kung kaya ng iba, ipagawa mo sakanila!" hehehe...

Dati, akala ko biro lang yan kasi diba dapat, "Kung kaya ng iba, dapat kaya ko rin!" But it make sense to me nong may mga nakilala akong entrepreneurs and businessmen. That is most successful people do. They will hire professionals to do the things that they can not do - employees do their boss' weaknesses. Well, that's how the world works. 

Alright, it is about Delegate your Weaknesses. At the start of anything - a business, an organization, a project - you may have to do everything. But pretty soon, you will have to focus on your strengths and delegate your weaknesses to others.

Do you know the 80/20 Principle that economist Vilfredo Pareto came up with? Quality guru Joseph Juran called it the "Rule of the Vital Few."

Here's what it mean: 80 percent of results come from only 20 percent of inputs. 

When you use your core gifts, that's the 20 percent input that will produce 80 percent of the results. 

Let say like Bro. Bo Sanchez. In his ministries, he don't take care of the accounting and he don't make his website. He also don't take care of administration work. He just focus on preaching and leadership - that be 20 percent of the organization but takes care of 80 percent of its result.

You don't get it? I understand you, someday you will get it. The point is, focus on your core gift - use your strengths and let the other people deal with your weaknesses. Do what you do best and ask others to do what they do best.

Take note of this: 

• Your core gift has a corresponding market niche.
• When you identify your core gift, you identify your boundaries.
• The clearer your boundaries, the most successful you become.
• Define your audience now!
• And FOCUS on your Core Gift... Your success won't be far away!
