Noong 1848 sa San Fancisco, Gold Rush days ay yung panahon na nagkagulo ang maraming tao dahil sa pagkakadiskubre ng ginto sa San Francisco river.

The California Gold Rush was made famous by Samuel Brennan. Si Sam Brennan ang nasa likod ng famous quote na...

Mangangalakal o businessman itong si Sam Brennan. Nag mamayari ng isang newspaper publishing company at ilang mga stores sa San Francisco malapit sa ilog kung saan nadiskubre ang mga ginto.

Noong unang na-discover ang ginto sa San Francisco river noong January 24, 1848 ay inilihim muna ng mga nakadiskubre ang tungkol sa ginto. Ayaw kasi nila na pagkaguluhan ng mga tao ang nadiskubre nila. Masasabutahe kasi ang plano nilang agricultural empire kung magkakaroon ng malawakang pagmimina ng ginto.

Pero hindi rin nagtagal, kumalat na sa mga tao ang balita na may ginto na makukuha sa ilog. That's the time Samuel Brennan take advantage of the opportunity, used his newspaper publishing company and the power of supply and demand. 

Dahil nag mamay-ari sya ng isang newspaper company, ginamit 'nyang daan ito para maipakalat ang tungkol sa ginto, at ipinosisyon nya ang sarili nya as a promoter of "San Francisco, California Gold Rush."

Ang ginawa nya noong magsisimula palang kumalat ang balita, mabilis pero patago nyang pinagbibili lahat ng mga mining tools sa buong Northern Californa. Hanggang wala ng ibang pwedeng mabilhan ng "Shovel or Pala" and other mining tools...kundi dun na lang sa mga stores nya.

At nang naihanda na nya lahat ng kanyang mga mining supply shops, kumuha sya ng ginto, nilagay nya sa kanyang mga kamay, tapos nagtatatakbo 'sya sa kalsada at nagsisigaw na parang baliw ng..

"Gold! Gold! Gold from the American River!"

Few days later, halos lahat ng tao ay nagpupuntahan na sa ilog para makapaghukay ng ginto. And that's the time Samuel Brennan solds his mining supplies at a substantial profit or mas mataas na presyo because of its high demand.

Ayon sa mga kamakailang scholar, ang mga mangangalakal or merchants ang may mas malaking kinitang pera kaysa miners during the Gold Rush. And the wealthiest man in California during the early years of the rush was Samuel Brannan. Who took advantage of his newspaper company to position himself as the promoter and a shopkeeper who purchased all the prospecting supplies available in San Francisco and resold them on his stores near the goldfields.
